Who am I?
My name is Brytan Gubler. I am 19 years young. I got married in July to the love of my life and we are so happy together! I love to help people. I am currently a CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant)! My job is rough and really hard work... but very rewarding. I plan to become a nurse and hopefully help people all around the world. It would be my dream to work in the labor and delivery unit. Or in the INCU. Either one would suffice! I love to dance and I have dance over 16 years of my life. Dancing is something that helps me get my frustrations out. I love to be in school and work hard and doing my homework. Weird.. I know! I love to learn! This is my first year at DSU and second year in college. I have lived here in STG my whole life except for the year I was up in Orem at UVU. Christmas is my favorite holiday! Purple, Pink, and Orange are my favorite colors! After we finish school, me and my husband want to move out of the state and go somewhere we've never been and just experience life together! Basically, thats me in a nutshell!
Be Drunk....?
"Be Drunk" is a poem by Charles Bauldlaire, that we read in class, about having passion. What is passion? Could it be loving something so much you want to share it with everyone? Or could it be you love something so much that you want to keep it private and a secret? I think having passion could be both! Whether its something you want to yell to the world, or if it is something you only want to show yourself... HAVE PASSION! I think it is very important in life to have passion and be passionate about something, anything! I am passionate about my family. Family has and always will be to me! I recently got married and he is my everything. I will do just about everything for him. My passion has been put into perspective lately with my husband being sick and in the hospital. Having support from our family has made this process easier. This makes me passionate towards them and my husband. We have a very close knit family and they are always helping and in return I always want to help.
I think everyone should follow the counsel in the poem "Be Drunk". Everyone should love something enough that they WANT to have/give passion to it. His counsel can be deep but bottom line... Everyone should be passionate and find something they are passionate about!! I think people that say that they cant be passionate are scared of it. I say that because I think people who say that they dont have passion, are just scared to express it. Everyone has passion. Everyone does not express their passion.
Another aspect of this concept was that students are passionless...? What? Being in college I have experienced may people full of passion. Just today, I found a young freshman that was full of passion for dancing. She loved it and you could tell that she had passion just by the way she talked about it. And for someone to day that ALL students are passionless is wrong and I disagree. I just think people and student express them in different ways than the author did.
No matter if you do or do not express your passion, I think that everyone still has it somewhere deep down inside of them!!
